Why aluminium rather than steel or rattan for outdoor furniture?
Aluminium is inherently rust-resistant — unlike steel, it won't corrode even without a powder coat. It's also significantly lighter than steel, making rearranging the pieces easy. Compared to rattan sets, aluminium frames have a cleaner, more architectural aesthetic and require no weave maintenance. The combination of an aluminium frame with a powder coat gives you a very long-lasting, low-maintenance outdoor structure.
Can the pieces be arranged differently, or do they need to be in a specific layout?
Completely flexible — the three-seater, two-seater and armchair are entirely independent pieces. You can face them towards each other in a traditional U-shape, arrange them in an L-shape, or position them to suit the layout of your patio or decking. Because aluminium is lightweight, reconfiguring takes seconds.
Are the cushions included and can they be washed?
Yes — light grey cushions are included with all three pieces as standard. The covers are fully removable and machine washable on a low heat. We recommend storing cushions indoors or under the rain cover when not in use to keep them in the best condition.
Is assembly required?
Yes — the set arrives flat packed and requires self-assembly. All fixings and a full instruction manual are included. Most customers find the build manageable. Please allow adequate time and a clear space before you start.
