The Geometric Mango Wood Sideboard leads with texture. Every door and drawer front is covered in a raised 3D geometric pattern — a tessellated design hand-carved from solid mango wood that creates depth, shadow and visual interest that shifts as the light in the room changes. From across the room it reads as a bold surface treatment; up close, it's a piece of genuine craftsmanship that you notice more the longer you look at it.
The storage layout is asymmetric and practical: a large double cupboard with internal shelf on the left, and a stack of three deep drawers on the right. You get both the quick-access convenience of drawers and the larger enclosed capacity of a cupboard — in a single piece, without having to choose between them. Brushed brass handles and tapered mid-century legs complete the picture.
Crafted from 100% solid mango wood in a natural multi-tonal finish, each sideboard has its own grain pattern and tonal variation. The geometric carving will always follow the same layout — but the wood's own character within that pattern is uniquely yours.

Raised 3D geometric carving — a surface that earns a second look The tessellated geometric pattern is raised directly from the solid mango wood surface — carved to create depth, not printed or applied. The effect is three-dimensional: individual facets catch light at different angles, so the surface reads differently in morning light versus evening lamplight. It's a level of surface detail you'd usually find at a significantly higher price point, and one that makes a plain-fronted sideboard look flat by comparison. |
|
Asymmetric storage — drawers and cupboard, not one or the other Most sideboards give you either drawers or cupboards. This one gives you both in a considered asymmetric layout: three deep drawers stacked on the right for quick-access storage — cutlery, napkins, stationery, cables — and a large double cupboard with an internal shelf on the left for deeper storage of larger items. It's a layout that handles the full range of what you'd actually want to keep in a sideboard. |
|
100% solid mango wood — real timber, genuine character Every part of this sideboard — frame, top, door and drawer fronts, legs — is solid mango wood. Not MDF, not chipboard, not a veneer surface over a cheaper substrate. Mango is a sustainably sourced hardwood with a naturally varied multi-tonal grain, which means the geometric pattern looks different on every piece because the wood underneath it is different on every piece. |
|
Brushed brass handles — warm, refined contrast The minimalist brushed brass handles sit cleanly against the natural mango wood surface. Brass and natural timber is a pairing that ages well together — the brass develops a subtle patina over time that, if anything, makes it look better rather than dated. The handles don't compete with the geometric carving; they complement it. |
|
Tapered mid-century legs — lift without sacrifice The angled tapered legs are cut from the same solid mango wood as the body. They lift the cabinet off the floor — keeping the floor line visible and the piece feeling lighter than its weight would suggest. It's a classic mid-century proportion that works equally well in a contemporary home and a period property. |
|
Almost fully assembled — legs only to fit The sideboard arrives almost fully assembled — the only step required is attaching the four tapered legs on arrival. No complex flatpack process, no tools beyond basic hand-tightening. It's ready to position and use within a few minutes of delivery. |
The Geometric Sideboard works in any room where you want storage that doesn't look like storage. In a dining room the asymmetric layout handles exactly what a dining sideboard needs — drawers for cutlery and napkins, the cupboard for table linen and serving pieces. In a living room the 3D geometric front makes it the visual centrepiece of a wall, with the top surface free for a lamp, plant or artwork. In a hallway the natural mango and brass combination creates a warm, considered first impression. The natural multi-tonal finish pairs well with earthy palettes, warm whites, linen and terracotta — versatile without being bland.

Is the geometric pattern carved into the wood or applied as a panel?
The raised 3D pattern is carved directly into the solid mango wood surface of the doors and drawer fronts — not a pressed panel, foil appliqué or printed effect. Each facet of the tessellated design is carved individually, which is why the pattern has genuine three-dimensional depth and responds to light the way it does. It's one of the features that makes this piece worth the price.
How is the storage arranged — drawers or cupboards?
Both — in an asymmetric layout. The left side is a large double cupboard with an internal shelf, giving you deep enclosed storage for larger or taller items. The right side has three deep drawers stacked vertically, ideal for cutlery, napkins, stationery or anything you want quick access to without opening a cupboard door. You don't have to choose between the two storage types — you get both.
Is this solid mango wood or a wood-effect finish?
The entire piece — frame, top, door and drawer fronts, and legs — is crafted from 100% solid mango wood. Not MDF, chipboard or a wood-effect surface. Mango is a dense, sustainably sourced hardwood with a naturally varied grain that gives each piece its own tonal character. The geometric pattern is carved into the solid wood, not applied over a cheaper substrate.
Will my sideboard look exactly like the photos?
The geometric carving pattern and overall layout will be consistent. However, the mango wood grain, tonal variation and any natural knot markings will differ between pieces — each sideboard has its own wood character within the geometric design. This is a feature of solid natural wood, not inconsistency in production.
Does it require assembly?
Minimal assembly only — the sideboard arrives almost fully assembled. All you need to do is attach the four tapered legs on arrival. This is straightforward and takes only a few minutes. We recommend two people for positioning the cabinet once the legs are on, given its overall size and weight.
