The Aurelia Round Dining Table earns its name. The base is a carved fluted pedestal — layered, architectural and entirely hand-finished — that gives this table a presence you simply don't find at this price point. Most dining tables use their base purely for structural support. The Aurelia uses it as the focal point, with the fluted column rising to meet a solid mango wood round top in a silhouette that feels genuinely sculptural rather than purely functional.
The 120 cm tabletop is crafted from solid mango wood with the planks arranged in a geometric pattern that draws the eye towards the centre — a considered detail that gives the surface depth and visual interest beyond a standard flat top. A natural washed finish keeps the overall tone light and warm, letting the mango grain speak without being overpowered by a heavy stain or lacquer.
At 120 cm across, the Aurelia seats four comfortably and five or six for a dinner. The round format means everyone faces everyone — no head of the table, no awkward ends. It's a table that makes conversation feel easy.

The fluted pedestal — a base worth looking at The carved fluted pedestal is what separates the Aurelia from every standard four-legged dining table. The layered, column-like form is hand-carved and hand-finished — its vertical grooves catch light differently as you move around the table, creating a sculptural quality that most furniture at this price point simply doesn't have. It's the kind of base that makes people ask where the table came from. |
|
Geometric timber pattern — a top with depth The mango wood planks on the tabletop are arranged in a geometric pattern that draws the eye towards the centre, creating a subtle but striking surface detail. It means the top is never just a flat expanse of wood — there's a considered arrangement that rewards looking at it closely as well as from across the room. |
|
Solid mango wood — genuinely natural The entire table — top and base — is solid mango wood. Not veneer, not MDF with a wood-effect surface. Mango is a dense, sustainably sourced hardwood with a naturally varied grain that ensures no two tables look identical. The natural washed finish keeps the tone light and enhances the grain rather than masking it, resulting in a piece that sits comfortably across neutral, contemporary and warmer rustic palettes. |
|
Round format — better for conversation A round table is the most sociable shape for dining — everyone faces everyone, no one is exiled to an end seat, and the conversation flows naturally around the table rather than up and down it. The pedestal base means there are no corner legs to obstruct chairs or feet, so every seat is equally comfortable. At 120 cm the Aurelia is sized for four people day-to-day and five or six when the occasion calls for it. |
|
Versatile enough for any room The natural washed finish and sculpted form mean the Aurelia works across a wide range of interior styles — contemporary, Scandi, coastal, rustic or eclectic. It pairs equally well with upholstered chairs in linen or velvet, wooden chairs with a natural finish, and modern rattan or metal dining chairs. The round format also makes it a natural fit for square dining rooms where a rectangular table would leave awkward dead corners. |
|
No two tables are identical Because every piece is made from natural solid mango wood, grain pattern, knot placement and tonal variation will differ between tables. The geometric arrangement on the top will always follow the same layout, but the wood's own character within that pattern will be uniquely yours. Natural variation is part of what makes solid wood furniture worth owning. |
The Aurelia works particularly well in square or compact dining rooms where a rectangular table would feel awkward — the round format and single pedestal base keep the floor plan open and the room feeling larger than it is. In a kitchen-diner it becomes the informal heart of the space: breakfast in the morning, homework in the afternoon, dinner with friends in the evening. In a dedicated dining room the fluted base earns the table a level of visual interest that makes styling the rest of the room feel straightforward — the table does the heavy lifting, and everything else can stay simple around it.

How many people does a 120 cm round table seat?
A 120 cm round table comfortably seats four people for everyday dining and can accommodate five or six when needed. Because it's round with a pedestal base, there are no corner positions and no legs to work around — every seat is equally good. If you regularly host six or more, a larger rectangular table would be a better fit, but for a household of two to four the Aurelia is generous and sociable.
What is the fluted pedestal base made from?
The entire table — top and base — is crafted from solid mango wood. The fluted pedestal is carved and hand-finished from the same material as the tabletop, which gives the piece a cohesive, unified feel. The fluting is carved directly into the wood — not applied as a separate piece — giving the grooves genuine three-dimensional depth.
Will my table look exactly like the photos?
The geometric pattern, fluted base and natural washed finish will be consistent. However, the mango wood grain, knot placement and tonal variation will differ between pieces — this is a feature of solid natural wood, not inconsistency in production. Your table will have the same form and finish as the photos, but its own distinct grain character.
Does it require assembly?
Some assembly is required — typically attaching the pedestal base to the tabletop. This is straightforward and all fixings and instructions are included. We recommend two people for the final positioning step given the combined weight of the solid wood top and base.
Are chairs included?
Chairs are not included. The Aurelia's natural washed finish and sculptural base pair well with a wide range of dining chair styles — upholstered in linen or velvet for a softer look, or rattan, wooden or modern metal chairs for something more relaxed or contemporary. Please browse our full dining collection for options.
