Enclose the side of your pergola in style with the Casa Maria 4m Aluminium Sliding Door. A set of fully louvred aluminium panels glide along a discreet dual-track top-and-bottom rail — overlapping in two planes as they slide — to form a solid, architectural wall you can open and close at will. It turns the open 4m side of your pergola into a sheltered, private space with the substance and finish of a permanent garden room.
Each panel is fully louvred powder-coated aluminium in dark grey to match the Casa Maria pergola range. The panels slide along the dual track and overlap one another to open up around half the 4m span, or draw closed to cover the full side. Unlike a fabric screen, the sliding door gives you a rigid, weather-tolerant aluminium wall — ideal for the side that takes the most wind, sun or overlooking, or simply to give your pergola a finished, fully enclosed look.

Which pergolas does this 4m aluminium sliding door fit?
It fits the 4m side of the LuxShade™ 4×4m, the motorised MotaShade™ 3×4m and the wall-mounted EdgeShade™ 3×4m. It does not fit the LuxShade™ 3×4m (which uses the standard manual-range door), the LuxShade™ 3×3m or 3×6m, or any SplitZone™ model. On the MotaShade™ and EdgeShade™ 3×4m, the 3m sides take our 3m aluminium door instead. If you're unsure which pergola you own, please contact our team before ordering.
Does it provide full privacy?
The louvred panels give a strong sense of privacy and screening when closed, while still allowing some air and light through the louvres. It is designed as a sheltering, privacy-enhancing wall rather than a completely sealed, solid partition.
How many sets do I need?
Each set encloses one 3m side. Many customers start with the side that catches the most wind, sun or overlooking, then add further sets — or combine with our windscreens — to enclose more of the pergola over time.
How far does it open — do the panels stack fully away?
This is a dual-track system, so the panels slide and overlap one another across two planes rather than stacking fully out of the way. Closed, they cover the full 4m side; open, they overlap to one side to leave roughly half the span clear. It's designed to give you a solid, enclosing wall when you want it and a generous opening when you don't — rather than disappearing completely.
Can I fit it to a pergola I already own?
Yes — the sliding door can be retrofitted to any compatible LuxShade™ 4×4m, MotaShade™ 3×4m or EdgeShade™ 3×4m pergola. Self-assembly is required, and the rail, rollers, fixings and instructions are included.
Is it fully waterproof?
The sliding door is designed to provide shelter, privacy and wind protection under normal outdoor conditions. As a louvred panel system it is not a fully sealed, watertight wall, so some air and water will still pass through and around it.
